Ski Resorts Opening Soon Around the U.S.

Timely snow conditions have allowed for early openings of ski resorts and there are many already open here in Colorado. Forecasters are predicting that the Super El Niño will play an impact on snowfall on the ski slopes this winter.
It’s time to wipe the dust bunnies off your skis and bring them in for a quick tune up (and make sure your women's ski jacket is ready to be worn!), because plenty more resorts are opening up all around the U.S. in the next few weeks. Below are the opening dates for resorts we are super excited to see starting up their operations for the 2015/2016 winter ski season!
Colorado
Vail Mountain – November 20th, 2015. Vail is opening with more than 500 acres of accessible terrain at 9:00am. Breakfast Burritos and hot cocoa will be provided so get them while they last!
Steamboat Mountain – November 21st, 2015. Steamboat was initially scheduled to open on Thanksgiving; however, this week’s storm has allowed for an early opening. We are super stoked!
Crested Butte Mountain Resort – November 26th, 2015. There will be FREE SKIING offered on opening day! Stop by the main ticket office at the Adventure Center to take advantage of this amazing deal!
Utah
Park City – November 21st, 2015. With 355” of average snowfall and 7,300 acres of total skiable terrain, Park City has got something for everyone. Night skiing opens as early as Thanksgiving Day for all you night-owls!
Snowbird – November 20th, 2015. Snowbird boasts Utah’s longest ski season and annually averages 500". This season, Snowbird is initiating over $35 million in resort improvements, all designed to enhance the guest experience.
Washington
Mt. Baker Ski Area – November 19th, 2015. Known to be a powderhound mecca, Mt. Baker averages the most annual snowfall with 641 inches and holds the record for the most snowfall in a single season.
California
Sugar Bowl – November 21st, 2015. Sugar Bowl will open with 1,500 vertical of top-to-bottom skiing & riding on three lifts. Closing Monday through Wednesday, they will re-open for the Thanksgiving weekend!
Bear Valley – November 28th, 2015. Located in the High Sierras, Bear Valley Mountain Resort is a family-friendly resort that accommodates skiers and riders of all levels and abilities.
Oregon
Mt. Bachelor – November 25th, 2015. Mt. Bachelor is currently receiving fresh snow that is getting heavier. They are tentatively scheduled to open next Wednesday if snow continues.
Wyoming
Jackson Hole Resort – November 26th, 2015. Spend your Thanksgiving Day on this awesome mountain known for steep terrain and gorgeous scenery!
New Hampshire
Loon Mountain – November 25th, 2015. Known for being a great family ski mountain, providing visitors with easy accessibility and awe-inspiring scenery, Loon Mountain has something for everyone with wide groomed trails, glades and steep moguls.
Waterville Valley – November 21st, 2015. Rentals, restaurants and lodges will be open and accessible along with great skiing east coast skiing. A Welcome Back to Winter Party will be held on Friday, November 27th with appetizers, drinks, and desserts for adults and kids alike!
Vermont
Okemo Mountain Resort – November 23rd, 2015. Family-oriented and family-operated, Okemo offers southern Vermont’s highest vertical drop of 2,200 feet and a trail network spanning 5 distinct alpine areas.
Stowe Mountain Resort – November 25th, 2015. Stowe is a luxurious east coast family resort that provides great quality skiing and skiing for all ability levels.
Maine
Sunday River – Opens today (November 18th, 2015), offering $29 lift tickets!!!
