New Year, New Gear, New Way to Spread Cheer All Season Long

Posted by WinterWomen on Monday, January 28, 2013

Just in time for you to showcase your new gear from the holidays, January celebrated Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.   This nationwide initiative was intended to encourage and motivate newcomers to make their way to the slopes. As this month comes to a close, we are encouraging everyone to extend the learning season, and the spreading of the passion we posses to others.  We can make the entire season about sharing our love and appreciation for the sports to everyone. You may want to make just this one more addition to you list of New Year’s resolutions.  Or, if one of your resolutions was to spend more time with family and friends, this is perfect.

If you are going to be the one helping a new little shredder learn, then you will be stoked for the recent partnership that has evolved between WinterKids.com, Kinderlift, and the National Ski Council Federation.  The Kinderlift vests, which help the ski/snowboard learning process for the little ones, are going to be branded with all three logos, and a portion of the sales will go back to supporting NSCF.  These vests provide additional safety for children between the ages of 3-7.   With the bright colors, children become easily detectable in a swarm of movement, and the back strap makes for easy assistance by adults and instructors.  Make sure to check out our colorful collection of the Kinderlift vests!  They are now used internationally, and instructors can assure you, the impact on the ease of instruction, and safety, has been incredible.  This is just one of the ways that WinterKids.com and WinterWomen.com contributed to the success of this month.  We spread the passion every day by helping our customers pick out exceptional quality products that make the sports doable and enjoyable.

As part of Ski and Snowboard month, skiers and snowboarders around the globe made a contribution through the “Bring a Friend Challenge.”  Through this program, many new individuals were introduced to our sports and will hopefully continue through this season, and for many more to come.  If you are as passionate as we are about the winter sports, this activity really is no challenge at all, and can be done all season long.  Make it your own personal challenge to take new people to the slopes all the time.  Share your knowledge with others about different resorts, helpful instructions, or helpful instructors.  If you are a newcomer, who may be slightly terrified of the cold, do not let that be a barrier.  If you have any questions on how to stay warm, dry, and comfortable on the slopes, feel free to give us a call for information.  We are always here to help.

We would love for you to share with us how you took part in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month (and how you plan to continue it all season long)! We would especially love to see pictures of everyone getting out on the slopes so, feel free to send them to us!
