Wolf Creek: The First Colorado Ski Resort To Open For The 2011-2012 Season!

Posted by WinterWomen on Friday, October 7, 2011

We did it! We made through another hot and dry summer, dreaming of blue skies and the smell of fresh snow while grudgingly turning up the A.C. one more notch. We don't think we were the only ones wanting winter to come quickly, though. Mother Nature decided to dump some fresh snow over Colorado yesterday and fortunately, left enough for Wolf Creek Ski Area to open for this Saturday, October 8th, and this Sunday, October 9th! With already three feet of snow, Wolf Creek is ready for an amazing beginning to what should be an incredible season. Three lifts will be open this weekend, and lift tickets are only $33. This is a great opportunity to get out there and brush up on your skills before all of the other resorts open. Ski school and rentals will be open, too, so if you're a beginner looking to get out there, don't be intimidated by the first snow of the season. We recommend you check Wolf Creek out this weekend! You can always use this weekend as an excuse to buy your new winter outfit if nothing else!
